IndiQube Revolutionizes Managed Workspaces with an Enterprise-First Hybrid Model

Rishi Das - Co-founder of IndiQube

The "office" is no longer just a physical location—it's a service. As the global workforce shifts toward hybrid and distributed models, the traditional long-term commercial lease is becoming a relic of the past. Rishi Das, Co-founder of IndiQube, recognized this transformation long before the pandemic accelerated it. By building a technology-led "Workspace-as-a-Service" (WaaS) platform, Das and his co-founder Meghna Agarwal are helping India's largest enterprises scale their physical footprint with the agility of a startup.

Rishi Das is a seasoned entrepreneur with a track record of building scalable systems. An engineering graduate who previously co-founded CareerNet and HirePro, Rishi brings a deep understanding of human capital and organizational needs to the real estate sector. With IndiQube, he has successfully bridged the gap between Grade-A commercial real estate and the flexible needs of the modern enterprise.

India: A Supply-Constrained Market

Unlike Western markets which are often demand-constrained, Rishi points out that India is a supply-constrained market. There is a massive "regulatory cholesterol" and high compliance cost involved in operating properties. IndiQube thrives by taking over these complexities, allowing companies to focus on their core business while IndiQube manages the "hardware" of the workspace.

The Problem: The Rigidity of Commercial Real Estate

For decades, if a large company wanted an office, they had to sign 9-year leases, manage utility compliance, handle interior fit-outs, and deal with hundreds of vendors. For a fast-growing tech company or a multinational, this rigidity is a growth killer.

"Business growth increases complexity," Rishi explains. "Most enterprises are not masters of real estate or facility management. We realized that if we could create an affordable office space brand at a price point that makes sense for Bharat, we could solve a massive problem."

Furthermore, traditional co-working spaces were built for freelancers and small startups. They lacked the privacy, branding, and security that large enterprises (500+ employees) required. IndiQube filled this vacuum by focusing specifically on the enterprise segment.

The Solution: Workspace-as-a-Service (WaaS)

IndiQube isn't just a landlord; it’s a technology platform. Through their mobile app and B2B portal, they provide a seamless layer of services—from food and transport to maintenance and meeting room bookings—all running on an algorithmic pricing model.

The IndiQube Distribution Model

  1. Inter-city Expansion: Building a presence across Tier-1 cities (Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, etc.).
  2. Intra-city Distribution: Moving closer to where employees live (suburban hubs, malls, and shopping complexes).
  3. Digital Integration: A unified tech platform where B2B and B2C services are managed in real-time.
  4. Managed Excellence: Handling everything from interior design to regulatory compliance.
"Entrepreneurship is the time in between you starting a venture and the point where you will succeed. It’s about the believe-ability in the journey." — Rishi Das

The Post-COVID Pivot: The Hybrid Future

When the pandemic hit in March 2020, the office industry faced an existential crisis. However, Rishi saw it as a "nuclear fission reaction"—an opportunity for the industry to split and reform into something more efficient. IndiQube transitioned toward a distributed model.

"Nobody will come to a single central office in the future," Rishi predicts. "Companies now require a distributed model. You might have 20% of your team in a hub, 50% in satellite offices near their homes, and the rest working remotely. IndiQube provides the infrastructure to manage this entire spectrum."

IndiQube Scale & Impact

  • 100+ Locations: A massive footprint across major Indian tech hubs.
  • 500+ Enterprise Clients: Serving some of the world's leading brands.
  • 10 Million+ Sq Ft: Managing one of the largest flexible workspace portfolios in the country.
  • Zero to Succes: Bootstrapped initially through family and friends, now backed by major institutional investors.

Building the Team: Hiring for the Long Haul

With his background in HR-tech (CareerNet), Rishi has a unique perspective on recruitment. He believes that in a startup, the "average" of the team determines the success of the company. Unlike a large corporation where a few high-performers can carry the weight, a startup requires everyone to be aligned with the vision.

"Startups are driven by participants, not observers," Rishi asserts. "You need to basically be very clear on the talent you need at different stages. The people who help you build from zero to one might not be the same ones who take you from ten to 100."

Founder's Lesson: Start from Zero

Rishi advocates for a "zero-based" mindset. "You need to really start from zero every day. If you have too much baggage which you bring in every day, then it becomes extremely tough to innovate."

The Meaning of Entrepreneurship

For Rishi, being an entrepreneur is about believe-ability. It is the grit to face social and professional pressure, especially in the early years when "nobody knows you" and your batchmates are succeeding in large enterprises.

"It took me almost three years to explain to my parents that I was an entrepreneur," he recalls. "Today, the social mindset in India is changing. Being a founder is now prestigious, but the core challenge remains the same: attempting to solve a problem that people like."

Key Lessons for Founders

1. Persistence Over Perfection

The entrepreneurial journey is a marathon of staying power. Success comes to those who can stay in business long enough to find the right opportunity.

2. Execution is Everything

"Ideas are 5%, execution is 95%," Rishi says. The "Believe-ability" comes from seeing your vision turn into a tangible product that customers are willing to pay for.

3. Build a Support System

Entrepreneurship is lonely. You must maintain at least one "personal circle" where you can be honest about your insecurities. For Rishi, his family and his co-founder Meghna have been that bedrock.

IndiQube is proving that the future of work isn't "remote" or "office"—it's choice. By providing flexible, enterprise-grade workspaces, Rishi Das is ensuring that India's growth story isn't restricted by physical walls.
