Learnifii: Twisha Prasad on Discovering Passion and the Power of Product-Led Growth in EdTech

Twisha Prasad - Co-founder of Learnifii

Extracurricular activities are the heartbeat of holistic child development, yet for most parents, discovering and booking the right class is a fragmented nightmare. Twisha Prasad, Co-founder of Learnifii, is building the solution. Leveraging her deep background in product management and an MBA from London Business School, Twisha has created a marketplace that connects kids with over 400 world-class educators. From storytelling and yoga for toddlers to coding and personality development for teenagers, Learnifii is ensuring that every child has the opportunity to discover their true passion.

The spark for Learnifii came from observing the friction in local neighborhood groups. "I saw moms constantly messaging each other, trying to pool enough kids to get a guitar teacher to visit," Twisha recalls. "There was a massive gap between the supply of talented educators and the demand from parents looking for quality enrichment. I ran pilots in my own society, and when the traction was immediate, I knew we had a business."

The Product Manager as Entrepreneur

Twisha credits her success to her years in product management. "A product manager is effectively an entrepreneur within a company," she explains. "You learn to manage stakeholders, prioritize features with limited resources, and most importantly, listen to what users *need* rather than what they *say* they want. That training allowed us to find our product-market fit fast."

The Online Pivot: Scaling Beyond Boundaries

Learnifii initially launched as an offline venture, but the 2020 pandemic forced a rapid shift. "We became an online-only model almost overnight," Twisha shares. This shift, while challenging, became a catalyst for global growth. "Suddenly, we were seeing registrations not just from Pan-India, but from Dubai and the US. The barriers of location vanished, allowing a child in one city to learn from the best educator in another."

Today, Learnifii manages a delicate balance of supply and demand. With 4,000+ classes already booked and a week-on-week growth rate of 10%, the focus has shifted to maintaining quality. "We don't just onboard every teacher. We vet them rigorously because when a parent books through Learnifii, they are trusting us with their child's growth. Quality is our strongest currency."

Delegation and the Founding Team

Scaling a startup requires a specialized team. Twisha works alongside her co-founders, Ankit (Tech) and Neha (Operations). "We've segmented our ownership. Ankit manages the development team, Neha handles the bottom-of-the-funnel conversions and teacher vetting, and I focus on the product roadmap and growth initiatives," she explains. "By dividing the business this way, we can grow much faster than if we were all looking at the same problem."

Her advice for finding co-founders is to look for shared conviction. "Convincing someone to leave a stable job requires data and traction. I didn't just go to my friends with an idea; I went with results from my pilots. When they saw the conviction and the numbers, they were ready to take the bet."

Twisha's Advice for Young Problem Solvers

  1. Start Part-Time: You don't have to quit your job on day one. Use your evenings to solve a problem. Once you see consistent bookings, the motivation to go full-time will come naturally.
  2. Follow the 'Five Ws': Always deep dive into why a user wants a feature. Don't build based on requests; build based on underlying needs.
  3. Leverage Your Network: In your 20s, your network is your greatest asset. Find friends who can build what you design and test your ideas within your community.
  4. Be Kind to Yourself: Entrepreneurship involves a lot of trial and error. Forgive yourself for mistakes, learn from them, and iterate faster.
"India needs more entrepreneurs and more problem solvers. If you've ever thought about starting, just go out and do it. The learning from a two-year startup journey far exceeds any corporate job." — Twisha Prasad

The Vision: The First Choice for Parents

Looking ahead, Twisha wants Learnifii to be synonymous with extracurricular education. Her goal is to build a platform where parents can effortlessly nurture their child's holistic growth. "Whether it's guitar, coding, or storytelling, we want Learnifii to be the first thing that comes to a parent's mind," she says. "The education system is evolving, and we are here to provide the passion-led curriculum that the modern world demands."
